Linear Logic as Logic Programming: An Abstract
نویسنده
چکیده
The theory of cut-free sequent proofs has been used to motivate and justify the design of a number of logic programming languages. Two such languages, Prolog and its linear logic re nement, Lolli [13], provide for various forms of abstraction (modules, abstract data types, and higher-order programming) but lack primitives for concurrency. The logic programming language, LO (Linear Objects) [2] provides some primitives for concurrency but lacks abstraction mechanisms. Forum is a logic programming presentation of all of linear logic that modularly extends Prolog, Lolli, and LO. This language, therefore, allows speci cations to incorporate both abstractions and concurrency.

Nurse rostering using fuzzy logic: A case study
In this paper, we used the fuzzy set theory for modeling flexible constraints and uncertain data in nurse scheduling problems and proposed a fuzzy linear model for nurse rostering problems. The developed model can produce rosters that satisfy hospital objectives, ward requirements and staff preferences by satisfying their requests as much as possible. Fuzzy sets are used for modeling demands of...
متن کاملUse of a mixed integer programming model to achieve an optimum size of blast block in open-pit mining with regard to size of mineable block using fuzzy logic approach
In this paper, we present an integrated model to find the optimum size of blast block that uses (i) a multi-criteria decision-making method to specify the applicable size of the mineable block; (ii) a linear programming method for the selection of the blasted areas to be excavated and in deciding the quantity of ores and wastes to be mined from each one of the selected blocks. These two methods...
متن کاملSemantics of Concurrent Logic Programming as Uniform Proofs
We describe LC , a formalism based on the proof theory of linear logic, whose aim is to specify concurrent computations and whose language restriction (as compared to other linear logic language) provides a simpler operational model that can lead to a more practical language core. The LC fragment is proveded to be an abstract logic programming language, that is any sequent can be derived by uni...

متن کاملA Compiler System of a Linear Logic Programming Language
Linear logic developed by J.-Y. Girard can be described as a logic of resources. There have been several proposals for logic programming language based on linear logic: LO, LinLog, ACL, Lolli, Lygon, and Forum. Lolli and Lygon are implemented as interpreter systems (on SML and λProlog for Lolli, on Prolog for Lygon). But, none of them have been implemented as a compiler system. This paper descr...
